Another Hindu temple demolished in Pakistan, minorities threatened because of protesting

Police in Pakistan’s Sindh province sealed a construction site on Monday. Before the partition here, a Hindu temple was allegedly demolished by the builder. Dozens of Hindu families gathered on the narrow streets of Fida Hussain Sheikh Road in Lyari when they heard that the Hanuman temple was demolished in the evening.

After this, Lyari’s Assistant Commissioner Abdul Karim Memon arrived at the scene with the police and after inspecting the temple they sealed all three doors of the construction site. Mohammad Irshad Baloch said, “This is unjust because the place of worship was demolished. It was an old temple. We have seen it since childhood. ”Heera Lal, a resident of the area, said that 18 families live near the temple. “We were assured by the builder that the temple would not be demolished,” he said, stressing that the temple was demolished late Sunday evening.

According to Pakistani media, another resident Haresh said, “No one was allowed to come to the temple under lockdown.” A resident of the temple often said, “He (the builder) took advantage of the epidemic and demolished our place of worship.” He demanded that the temple be rebuilt. He claimed that the builder promised Hindu residents of the area that the temple would not be demolished. He also said that we were assured of alternative accommodation.

As soon as the news of the demolition of the temple was received, many Hindu residents of Lyari reached the temple. While speaking to the officials, he expressed his disappointment and anger. Mohan Lal, a Hindu activist, accused the builder of threatening members of the gathered minority community. He said, “We tried to enter the temple but the builder did not give entry.” He has cheated on the people living here. ‘
