Police in Pakistan’s Sindh province sealed a construction site on Monday. Before the partition here, a Hindu temple was allegedly demolished by the builder. According to Pakistani media, another resident Haresh said, “No one was allowed to come to the temple under lockdown.” A resident of the temple often said, “He (the builder) took advantage of the epidemic and demolished our place of worship.” He demanded that the temple be rebuilt. He claimed that the builder promised Hindu residents of the area that the temple would not be demolished. He also said that we were assured of alternative accommodation.
As soon as the news of the demolition of the temple was received, many Hindu residents of Lyari reached the temple. While speaking to the officials, he expressed his disappointment and anger.
