Hundreds of followers of ‘ISKCON’ group as well as radical Hindus are continuing protest on social media demanding an immediate ban on a Bangla drama titled ‘Bijoya’, which has been recently produced by Bangladesh’s largest production house and television content provider – Crown Entertainment. This special television fiction is directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud and its story is written by internationally known multi-award-winning anti-jihadist journalist and writer Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury.

Eminent actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha has played the lead role in Bijoya.

Talking to the press, Tisha said, this drama is based on a superb story with a strong social message. She believes this drama will attain the appreciation of the viewers.

The Director of this drama, Abu Hayat Mahmud said, “This drama brings out an important social issue, that has never been brought in any other drama in the previous times.”

When asked about the ongoing protest against the drama, an official of Crown Entertainment said: “Those who are protesting are handpicked number of people, mostly with fake social media IDs. Their protest is not significant at all. Hindu rights groups and their leaders are not denouncing this drama. Because, they have confidence in us and know well that Crown Entertainment is not a company which would play with religious sentiments of anyone”
